Our ear specialists are subspecialty trained in otology/neurotology treat disorders of the hearing and balance system, and lesions of the temporal bone/lateral skull base. These surgeons provide services such as diagnosis of complex hearing and balance issues through a multidisciplinary clinic that can perform audiologic and advanced vestibular testing. The surgeons provide treatments such as cochlear implantation, bone-anchored hearing aids, middle ear reconstructive surgery, gamma knife treatment of vestibular nerve tumours, and surgery for lateral skull base lesions.

Lesley Garber

Dr. Lesley Garber is a subspecialty-trained otologist and neuro-otologist. Dr. Garber sees pediatric and adult patients at both the HSC-Winnipeg outpatient clinics, as well as his community clinic in west Winnipeg. He has many years of experience in managing complex disorders of hearing and balance. Dr. Garber is our province’s Bone Conduction Implant Surgeon for children and adults. In addition, Dr. Garber travels across northern Manitoba and Nunavut, bringing specialist care to remote populations.

Dr. Jordan Hochman is an Otologist-Neurotologist who specializes in complex ear disease. He has a special interest in hearing restoration and cochlear implantation. His research focus includes surgical outcomes and surgical simulation. His efforts have been pioneering in 3D printing, haptic interface and mixed reality simulations. He serves on many national and international boards and has received a number of teaching awards.
